How much does an overheated server room cost you? €100.000? €200.000? €500.000? or €000.000 because you get alerted before your server room breaks down. Did you know, that your servers are in critical surroundings when the temperature exceeds 25°C. At 27°C air temperature in your server room your electronic components in your servers, SAN, switches, storage etc. starts to melt down. This can cost you a fortune in data loss, down time, new processors etc.
How do we know? We have seen it -several times. That is why Blichfeldt Sensornet™ has been developed: To avoid server room break down.
Blichfeldt’s Sensornet™ are a system for reading and logging environmental data and control external units. Sensornet sends alerts via SNMP, E-mail FTP, remote dial-up or HTTP. The protocol are TCP/IP and can therefore be used on basically every network without the need for new expensive special installations. The administration part are web-enabled and can be controlled from any PC with a standard browser. Sensornet works on a reliable Linux platform designed for 24x7x365.
Communication to sensors and relays is via One-wire© on standard PDS cabling or over TCP/IP (LAN or Internet). One-wire© can be connected as bus or with switches (built-in to all sensors). With Sensornet you can measure and get alerts from server rooms on different locations all over the world.
Sensornet™ can read data from multiple types of sensors. E.g.:
● Temperature ● Humidity ● Voltage ● Current ● Airflow ● Fire alert ● Access control ● Intrusion alerts ● Control fans ● All kind of digital input ● All kind of analogue input
The system has been designed to make it possible to customize for all kind of special editions in order to collect data and present it from other than One-wire© sensors, e.g. Modbus©.
Collected data can be presented as a graph or downloaded for further processing, e.g. in MS Excel© or Crystal. Besides collection and presentation of data, Sensornet can send alarms via email or SMS if preadjusted min- and max- limit values are exceeded.
Sensornet is available in to versions: either for use with your own webserver or complete with webserver. Sensors are available in standard-edition or in special versions, e.g. a “push-in” sensor for temperature.
