TRAL is the latest addition to our product range providing smart solutions in the market of digital CCTV recorders that combine high performance with minimal hardware complexity. TRAL provides multi-channel, room-by-room storage surveillance systems using LAN/WLAN technologies.
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) security systems that incorporate TRAL exhibit increased reliability because, in case of damage to one video-server, full network access is maintained and, moreover, recording continues even if the network itself is damaged. Thanks to an embedded web-server, full control of the recorder and viewing of recorded data in full duplex mode is possible via a standard Internet browser. A user-definable IP-address enables not only local network operation, but also remote access to all devices via the Internet. |
Recording
|
TRAL makes it possible to digitalise, compress and store information on an integrated 2.5" hard drive. Both access to recorded data and device control are provided for via a 10/100 Ethernet, TCP/IP network. In parallel to the four-channel video, recording is made from two independent audio channels and one data channel (RS-232/485). Video data can be stored and transferred in highly compressed H.264/MPEG4 format at real-time speed (24 fps). |
Monitoring
|
Viewing of recorded data and full control of TRAL are accomplished via a standard web-browser from any PC client connected to a local network. Viewing of video data from several units connected on one sub-network is realised in multi-stream mode whereby all streams are displayed in one common window.
In addition to video recording, the extended interface allows for:
- audio recording/playback;
- input (for storage and/or display of information within a video frame) of text/data via RS-232;
- monitoring/controlling of external equipment via RS-485 (e.g. Pan/Tilt/Zoom cameras or measuring devices);
- backup of internal hard drive via USB.

A Basis for Professional CCTV Systems

An important advantage of the network recorder is the possibility to use existing network infrastructure when setting up professional CCTV systems. Unlike conventional web-cameras, TRAL does not overload the network with traffic. As the recording is made to the internal hard drive, in normal conditions the rate of data flow from the accumulator is low. A higher data flow will be generated in case of alarm, and, when required, delayed backup of recorded data can be performed at night or at other times of low network traffic. |
Powerful Software

TRAL software’s user-interface provides powerful features that cater for the needs of professionals and casual users alike. Examples include: FIFO recording, adjustable motion/sound detection and pre-/post-alarm recording time for each channel, powerful search capacity via time/date marks and an activity diagram for all channels (representing motion intensity / audio level etc.), event-specific remote notification via USB (voice/ISDN modem, SMS etc.) or network (e-mail, MS-Messenger etc.), self-diagnosis and synchronisation from an external timeserver.
