What is AutoCate   Overview of “Cate” (Cell Activated Terminal Emulator) Cate802 is a “Terminal” installed at a Remote Site, Building, Motor vehicle or any Mobil asset. It is able to monitor, activate and control functions and collect data from this Remote Site, Building, Motor vehicle or Mobil asset utilising the GSM network as the communication medium. The system uses “SMS” (short messaging service) as the means to issue Commands & retrieve Data. It can be setup to make either an SMS or VOICE call to annunciate an Alarm trigger. How does AutoCate Work? AutoCate can be installed into virtually any vehicle that has a 12 or 24 Volt battery. It can be used in conjunction with an existing security system, or function as a remote alarm and immobiliser system. Once a pay-as-you-go or contract SIM card is inserted, AutoCate is constantly linked to the GSM network via a discreet dual-band antenna (inside car). There are no annual fees or maintenance charges with AutoCate.

What happens if someone interferes with my car? Once activated, AutoCate will monitor up to four zones in your vehicle. If intrusion is detected, it will alert you via SMS text message, stating which zone was triggered. AutoCate will call up to six people if required and can be programmed to make voice calls instead of SMS. You can then send a text message to AutoCate to immobilise the vehicle or fill the car with smoke, if a smoke machine is installed.

Have you ever locked your keys in the car, or left it unlocked? AutoCate provides the perfect solution to keys locked inside a vehicle or a car left unlocked. Simply send and "unlock" text message to AutoCate to open the doors, or a "lock" message to lock the doors. AutoCate will then send you a text message to confirm that your instructions have been carried out. Locate any vehicle that has an AutoCate 800 system installed, quickly and easily. Once registered with Autowatch Tracking (only applicable in participating countries), you can locate your AutoCate equipped vehicle anywhere on the UK mainland. Simply log onto the tracking service through the Autowatch DK website and within seconds you will see a map showing the vehicle's location* Here is an actual example of how a GSM location is shown. You can choose the level of zoom from five different settings.

AutoCate can be programmed by SMS or via a PC wich is recommended. The PC software is optional.
